Our amazing team of bar staff and the management committee are committed to making sure your experience with us is the best it can be. Although we operate as a private members club we welcome and encourage visitors to come and try us out as our guest.
Our Management Committee
ASSC is managed by a volunteer committee comprising of three club officials and six committee members. There is a lot goes on behind the scenes to ensure the books are balanced and the bills get paid. Interested in becoming a committee member? Get in touch for more information!
Our Mission
We focus on providing a safe environment for members of our community to gather in a relaxed, inclusive, easy going social setting. Our members and volunteers provide the momentum that helps us keep the club a thriving hub dedicated to serving the local community.
Our Sports Teams
Our sports teams are at the heart of our club. We are first and foremost a sports club, with many of our members drawn from our football, darts, pool, tennis and cricket teams. ASSC is proud to support our teams, who in return ensure that the social side of sportsmanship is also very much a part of club life.
Our Members
As a private members club, we exist to serve our members. The management committee has worked continually with our suppliers and brewers to ensure we can keep our costs as low as possible. In 2018 we introduced a members discount card which gives substantial discounts across our entire drinks range. The card also allows members the convenience of topping up their card account by card or cash and use it to make purchases. Join us today!
Our Facilities
We are continually working to improve our facilities. In recent years we have raised over £15,000 to support projects within the club including a new roof, external cladding and a complete renovation of the toilet facilities, with virtually all of the labour carried out by members and committee members. We operate completely financially independently, and receive no external funding from the parish council or local authorities.
